The Project Manager/Heavy Civil Estimator position is responsible for estimating/bidding projects, overall project planning, managing the project budget, and working with the Operations and administration team on a daily basis.
The ideal candidate with be a self-starter with a great attitude and an excellent communicator with an aptitude for Heavy Civil construction.
The position reports directly to the Vice President.

Seek, Investigate, and pursue construction related opportunities with statewide land developers, municipalities, and private land owners
Estimate for Public and Private Excavation and utility projects; marketing and sales strategies for earth moving and utility division.
Prepare and maintain accurate project cost analysis and projections using established accounting system (Vista) phase coding as it relates to the original contract estimate.
Timely correspondence required with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers for the proper documentation of the project.
Prepare monthly budget updates, contract status, work in progress reports, and billings for submittal to clients.
Prepare cost estimates and timely change request proposals (CRP’s) for additional work requested by the client or for changed conditions from the original contract specifications for submittal and approvals.
Qualifications:
5-years’ experience as a Project Manager and/or Estimator
Private commercial construction experience is preferred but not required
Earthwork and Utility construction industry experience highly desired
Working knowledge of MS Office, Bluebeam, Bid2Win estimating, and Vista software preferred
