What You’ll Do:
- Run Topside on Paver or Asphalt Roller
- Paving for residential, commercial, and public works projects
- Safely and efficiently operate and maintain both trucks and heavy equipment
- Moving equipment on lowboy or tilt deck.
- Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental and DOT regulations.
- Ensure product quality and order accuracy.
- Keep your truck / equipment clean and free of buildup, for optimal performance and professional appearance.
What We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years working on paving crew
- Extensive time and knowledge as asphalt roller operator (Breakdown & Finish)
- Extensive time and knowledge as paver operator (Topside and Screed
- Knowledge of specifications, safety standards, means and methods, testing and quality control
- Management of trucks and mix calls with plant operator
- Valid Class A CDL, a current DOT medical card, and an insurable driving record.
- Ability to effectively communicate with dispatch, co-workers and customers.
- Strong understanding of safe driving practices and DOT regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work varying start times, overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.
